TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST HAVE:

  • a current knowledge and practical experience of the intermediary mortgage market either as an adviser who has done their own admin or as a mortgage administrator
  • worked with a whole of market panel of lenders

The role will involve supporting the Mortgage Adviser, liaising with lenders, life providers, solicitors and estate agents and ensuring that our clients are updated whilst maintaining our high level of customer service. The post will include working towards tight deadlines, working on your own initiative as well as being a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing the Mortgage Adviser with administrative support
  • Liaising with the Mortgage Adviser with regards to the progress of client cases and discussing any issues on cases, pipelines etc.
  • Proactively progressing individual cases from mortgage application through to completion
  • Problem solving when required to move purchases and re-mortgages along
  • Understanding and reporting weekly KPI’s
  • Administer mortgage and protection applications from the point of sign-up, and procuring and supplying outstanding documents to lenders and insurers
  • Assist the Mortgage Adviser in managing relationships and diary appointments with clients that have been seen for a their initial mortgage appointments
  • Set up call back dates for re-mortgage clients
  • Work pro-actively with mortgage lenders and their representatives to ensure that mortgage applications move to offer as quickly as possible for the benefit of our clients
  • Work pro-actively with insurers and other parties involved in the process to ensure that policy terms are produced as soon as possible
  • Work pro-actively with solicitors when mortgage offers have been released to ensure that property purchases and re-mortgages move to completion as quickly as possible
  • Assist the Mortgage Adviser in putting together new business packs for first meetings and also preparing documentation for sign-ups
  • Provide clients with regular updates throughout the buying process and help with any non-advice based question that they have to ensure a high-quality service

  • have a knowledgeof financial documentation for both mortgages and protection
  • be able to demonstrate an awareness of the regulatory requirements
  • have an attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
