Lending Underwriter

Key Purpose

·          You will be responsible for managing a caseload to maximise loan completions and new business.

·          Adherence to procedure manuals and policies

·          Adhere to SLA’s in order to provide the best service to the customer

·          Assist the team in order to meet and exceed targets

Key Accountabilities

·          Ensure SLA’s are maintained and exceeded

·          Manage a caseload while assisting team members to manage their caseload in busy times and in times of absence

·          Be proactive in dealing with the loan through to completion

·          Liaise with brokers, borrowers, valuers, solicitors and other third parties

·          Maintain full records on systems, including clear and concise notes

·          Take ownership of case allocation

·          Assist in training of all new staff members

·          Ensure tasks are being completed by Underwriting team (completion of registrations, trust deeds etc)

Knowledge & Qualifications

·          Experience of underwriting

·          CeMap qualified would be advantageous but is not essential
