The company and role

IFAConveyancing is a successful and growing service provider to the financial services sector throughout the UK and due to its success, the company is looking to recruit for a new role.

The Business Development Manager role comes with a basic salary of £26,000 per annum plus an on target annual bonus of £5,000.

This is a home-based role, although it may become an office based role in the future where the office would be located in or around Cardiff, South Wales.

The requirements of the role are as follows:

Duties and responsibilities

  • Responsible for generating sales
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets
  • Maintain strong working relationships with existing suppliers and clients
  • Research and identify potential new suppliers and new clients
  • Develop strong working relationships with new suppliers and new clients
  • Liaise with existing and potential new suppliers and clients via telephone and email
  • Arrange and attend meetings with existing and potential new suppliers and clients
  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials
  • Research, identify and attend appropriate networking and marketing events
  • Follow up on all leads and referrals including with new business contacts
  • Provide assistance to the Directors with designing and preparing presentation materials
  • Conduct presentations
  • Provide regular sales reports to the Directors


  • Proven experience of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Extensive experience as a Business Development/Sales Manager
  • Some experience of working within the legal or finance sector would be advantageous but not essential
  • Some knowledge of business finance
  • Good working knowledge and experience of using computer Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience of preparing financial reports
  • Experience of conducting presentations
