Operations & Compliance Director: A highly motivated Operations & Compliance is required to strengthen the senior team at a leading, fast growing, and progressive mid-sized company that provides mortgage services to both consumers and intermediaries.

This newly created Operations & Compliance Director role requires a highly capable individual with strong people, leadership, and analytical skills, to ensure all business processes and systems work effectively and support the delivery of customer excellence, and fulfil FCA regulations. The role includes the management of the Administration and Compliance Teams (currently 6 staff).

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the financial services and mortgage industries, will have led a team effectively and will have made changes to business process to improve organisational performance. Experience working in a compliance function or management role in a comparable regulatory environment would be important.

 

Key responsibilities

Operations:

- In collaboration with Commercial Directors, develop new and adapt existing systems and processes to improve business effectiveness and customer experience. Monitor and evaluate impact

- Develop, review, maintain systems and operational policy

- Promote a continuous improvement mindset across the team and indeed the wider business.

- Lead, manage and coach the Administration Team to ensure delivery of service standards

- Develop compliance systems and procedures and monitor systems effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities

- Monitor work-flow to ensure optimal resourcing levels and customer experience

Compliance:

- Champion the development of a compliance culture across the business.

- Establish a robust MI system and regularly monitor for risks and take action as necessary

- Identify and manage significant risks with expediency to protect company reputation

- Lead, manage and coach the Compliance Team to ensure delivery of agreed service standards
