Description, duties, responsibilities
This role has two core areas of responsibility; a BDE acts as a support function to the External BDM’s and the Sales Director; whilst also acting as a conduit between the Sales Function and that of Operations.
1st Part
- Primary support function to the BDM’s – Book appointments & diary manage where requested.
- Print off current live enquiries daily to ensure all enquiries are contacted within 48 hours of receipt from the BDM and every 48 hours thereafter.
- Print the current live pipeline report daily and from it chase down offers issued. Target: BDE to achieve a 50% conversion from Offer Issued to Offer signed and Accepted in conjunction with BDM’s.
- BDE to complete all loan costing sheets when required.
- BDE to obtain outstanding information from client/broker in order to avoid delays in underwriting process commencing.
- BDE to package all enquiries/applications – ensuring that the completed pack is with underwriters within 1 hour of receipt for initial assessment.
- BDE to contact borrower / broker (consent may be needed ) within 24 hours of offer issued.
- Conversion rate of 25% of Enquiries to Application forms received, in conjunction with BDM’s.
2nd Part
- To ensure that the enquiries supplied by the BDM are correctly packaged in accordance with their work flow requirements and company policy.
- To ensure that all information in the enquiry is complete.
- That all missing information has been obtained in order for the application to be escalated to an Underwriter.
This includes and is not exhaustive to:
- Fully completed Loan Costing sheet
- Fully completed Application Form
- Application is signed by client or broker as the borrowers proxy
- Collect Missing or Additional Information as required on a case by case situation by the Underwriter.
