This is a key role and plays a significant part in helping us become the UK’s most admired bridging finance company.  The BDM is responsible for delivering Bridgebank Capitals products and services into the market and ensuring a superior level of customer experience to all brokers, introducers and borrowers and professional intermediaries. Retention of our existing introducer base, as well as generating new and profitable introducers at every opportunity is also a key requirement. These tasks must be balanced with a requirement to work with internal customers such as Case Managers and Underwriters to ensure the application pipeline is managed efficiently and effectively on a daily basis. All business must be conducted in a fully compliant manner and adhere to the FCA’s Principles for Business (PRIN) 

 

  • Ensure all relationships and sales are dealt with in a fully compliant manner, in accordance with the FCA’s Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) ethos and ensure the FCA’s Principles of Business (PRIN) are adhered to at all times.
  • Booking own introducer appointments.
  • Maintaining regular contact with introducers by the most appropriate method to build relationships.
  • Place customers at the heart of our activities.
  • Attend and represent Bridgebank Capital at industry seminars, Expo’s, roadshows, dinners etc. as required.
  • Issue DIPS / Indicative Terms and Keying new enquiries on to BClass
  • Chase introducers for application forms and supporting information for new enquiries.
  • Passing new applications to Case Managers for underwriting preparation.
  • Complete all BDM KPI’s and agreed service levels including: introducers seen, appointments booked, offers issued; loans completed (volume and value) etc.
  • Maintain Offer/Legal pipeline to minimum agreed levels.
  • Ensure all enquiries placed on BClass have a comprehensive executive summary (including exit strategy), contact details for broker and client, address of security and pricing structure
  • Attracting new brokers and develop existing relationships.
  • Establish commitment to lend at outset by contacting client (or ensuring the Case Manager contacts the client)
  • Work closely with marketing to develop new marketing strategies and comment on value of existing strategies.
  • Enquiries not proceeding to be kept to an appropriate level minimum by a robust initial screening
  • BClass, ACT and all other systems to be kept fully updated at all times
  • Good analytical, interpersonal leadership and communication skills
  • Provide insight and constructive challenge where required
  • Ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgement on a consistent basis.
  • Able to champion and actively support cultural change
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory aspects of the financial services sector including risk, compliance and conduct.
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory framework including FCA, FOS, ICO etc.
  • Place customers (both our clients and their retail customers) at the heart of our activities
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business development role, preferably B2B
  • CeMap, FPC or CII qualified (Preferred but not essential)
  • Extensive knowledge of the commercial and domestic bridging, mortgage and second charge market
  • Maintain and develop a comprehensive and appropriate network of contacts across the financial services sector and mortgage sector in particular.
  • Ability to work and prioritise workload in a highly pressurised environment within tight timescales
  • Able to confidently present or facilitate workshops
  • Strong knowledge of the Regulatory aspects of the financial services sector including risk, compliance and conduct.
  • Good listening, communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • Seeks opportunities to grow revenue from existing client base
  • Identifying and developing new ideas for products and services and how they fit within client business model
