Responsible Life, a national equity release firm, with HQ in Royal William Yard, Plymouth is looking to fill the role of Lifetime Mortgage Advice File Reviewer. Equity release is a rapidly growing, exciting financial services market.

Working under the Compliance Manager you will be responsible for reviewing equity release mortgage advice files against a quality control checklist.

Responsible Life ensures positive customer outcomes in every case.

Files will therefore be reviewed to ensure accuracy of information, suitability of advice and presentation of the file.

Full training and supervision will be given in the role.

For mortgage administration and advice professionals, this role is a good step into the growing equity release industry.

The role will involve:

Receiving files from our nationwide team of advisers

Checking files for completeness

Assessing the suitability of the advice provided

Assessing the accuracy of the information gathered

Liaising with the adviser to correct any mistakes

Signing off the file as complete and ready to send to the customer

Qualifications & Characteristics

• CeMAP or equivalent essential
• CeRER or equivalent a bonus. If you don’t have this qualification, we will put you through the exams straight away so you must have a willingness to do this.
